Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, the Colombian superstar who plays in the Italian Serie A with Juventus, is now considered in doubt to play when Colombia resumes World Cup Qualifiers with neighboring Venezuela on August 31st. According to the Italian newspaper “La Gazzetta dello Sport”, Cuadrado suffered a strain in his right calf that has lingered in the days after the injury.
The strain is alleged to have occurred during a club training session. He is very unlikely to play in this weekend’s Supercup against Lazio and will be reassessed to determine the severity of the injury before the club’s opening match with Cagliari on August 19th.
