Two girls went missing early Tuesday morning at 6:20am as they headed to the Miguel Angel Asturias school in Bogota’s Bosa neighborhood, setting off an extensive search by police. The two girls, 12 and 13 years old, were dressed in their school uniforms when they disappeared.
Police managed to locat both girls on Thursday afternoon, two days later, according to a relative. According to Caracol News, the relative said that a letter was recovered from the house indicated that the girls were mad at their parents.
The children are now under the protection of the Colombian Institute for Family Welfare, where they are verifying the health and conditions of the girls.
