Colombian captain and superstar James Rodriguez is doing everything possible to leave Real Madrid and land with Manchester United, his preferred destination. According to Spanish sports site Don Blas, that now includes providing a rebate on his salary to Real Madrid in order to lower their asking price for the transfer.
Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Pérez, is thought to be against transferring James to Manchester United, a potential rival in next year’s Champion’s League. He has already said that he will not sell the young star for less than 60 million euro.
James’ offer might just be enough to facilitate the transfer. According to British news journal The Sun, he has already concluded negotiations with Manchester United and they agreed to personal terms. All that remains is for Real Madrid and Manchester United to agree on the terms of the transfer fee.
