There has been yet another twist in the daily James Rodriguez saga. According to Spanish sports web site Don Balón, German giant Bayern has now entered into the fray to acquire the Colombian superstar’s services.
James and Manchester United agreed to their own terms more than three weeks ago, but it appears that the impasse between Real Madrid and the red devils is insurmountable as M.U. is not interested in paying the cash that Real is demanding for the transfer.
Carlo Ancelotti, Bayern’s coach, is reportedly a huge James Rodriguez fan and the fit makes too much sense for it not to happen. James reportedly already has an offer in hand from Bayern, and the deal could happen faster than most people think.
Of course James, who continues to prioritize United above all other clubs, could throw a wrench into the deal and change his plans. However with Manchester United off the table, Bayern is one of the few heavyweights who can pay the type of transfer fee that will be required to free the cafetero from his Real Madrid nightmare.
Florentino Perez is reportedly open to creative ideas in order to make the transfer happen, including having part of the transfer fee based upon James’ performance at Bayern.
