As part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Antioquia’s Medical High Tech Institute (IATM), the institution donated 30 magnetic resonances (MRIs), destined to the vulnerable population in Medellin, according to news magazine Minute30.

This idea was conceived and carried out by the First Lady of Medellin, Margarita María Gómez, with the local Ministry of Health. Together, they identified and selected the individuals who most urgently required the procedure for their medical treatment.

It is fundamental for us to implement these social programs at institutions like IATM, as they help us achieve wellbeing for our families. We know how difficult it can be for some people to have access to health services, and that’s why we celebrate and are thankful for these donations”, expressed Medellin’s first lady.

Among those who benefited from these magnetic resonances were several patients without insurance coverage who are in critical condition, diagnosed with cancer and other grave conditions.
